Vox Cantab is committed to making high-quality music-making available to all, and outreach activities form an important part of our regular tours.
These activities have ranged from daytime visits to hospices or nursing homes, private concerts for individuals who would otherwise be unable to get to a concert venue, through to working with schoolchildren to bring high-quality singing into as many people’s lives as possible.
In 2013 we gave a community concert in the Chapel in the picturesque village of Trefin, in South Wales, demonstrating its potential as a venue for the arts and for the community, and raising money for its continued refurbishment. We were delighted to return in August 2015, when we took music into hospices and nursing homes in Pembrokeshire.
In August 2014 we spent some time in Hampshire, visiting people in their homes, as well as several nursing homes and hospices. More information on this trip can be found here.
