2025 March | Petersfield Musical Festival

We are delighted to have been asked to return to the Petersfield Musical Festival on Wednesday 19 March 2025. The first half of the programme will consist of a sequence of music and readings on the theme of ‘Inspired by Petersfield’, including works by Edward Thomas, Michael Hurd, William Harris, and others. We then widen the geographical area a little for the second half, with music by John Ireland, Hubert Parry, and Gerald Finzi.

We are delighted to be joined again by Debbie and Jeremy Whitton Spriggs as readers, and organist Anthony Gray.

2024 August | Tour to St Davids

We had a wonderful time, as ever, at St Davids Cathedral in Pembrokeshire this August. Wednesday 21 August saw us give a concert (‘Sing unto Him a New Song’) featuring works by Mendelssohn, Annabel Rooney, Rheinberger, Ian Farrington, Richard Lloyd, and others.

After a beautiful service of Compline in Trefin Chapel on Friday, we were back in the Cathedral over the weekend, singing Evensong on Saturday and Sunday and the Eucharist (over which the Bishop presided) on Sunday morning.

We were delighted that Neil Cox was in the congregation to hear his Missa brevis.

Our thanks to the clergy and music team at St Davids for having us back for our sixth visit, and to Anthony Gray for playing the organ so utterly fantastically.
